Thanks for stopping by! I am an IT professional living in the Edmonton region of Alberta, Canada. As of September 2026, I am currently going to school at NAIT, and taking their IT Systems Administration course.
I love all things computing, as well as writing about computing topics. It’s a passion of mine which I feel is ever important in the world we live in now. Furthermore, I believe that having deep and ever-present knowledge in the topic at hand gives me an edge when it comes to learning new things.
You’ll often find me at a computer learning about new and emerging technologies, and building projects to help me learn those technologies hands-on. I’ve built a homelab at home, which is a great way to develop and troubleshoot in an environment not consequential to production. Currently, it consists of a NAS (Network Attached Storage), a place for me to store media and backups, a cluster of three mini computers configured as a Proxmox cluster to host all of my virtual machines and computing needs, and a VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosted in the cloud, for anything that needs access to the internet at large.
I currently use Arch Linux (btw) as my primary operating system. I love Linux, because of its low resource requirement, unlike Windows. If I am required to use Windows, I’ll install WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) on the machine so I can do all of my development work in there. It can have its quirks, but you learn quickly over time how to work with them and in return you get rewarded a wonderful experience if you love to learn deeply about topics.
When I’m not building things and learning new and emerging technologies, you can find me playing video games, playing tabletop board and card games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering, and being an actor and singer in a musical theatre troupe.
